Texas A&M University
Located in College Station, Texas, Texas A&M is a public research university. Founded in 1876, Texas A&M was the first public institute of higher learning in Texas. Texas A&M houses 18 research institutes and offers over 150 courses of study for the 47,000 students enrolled. The school's mascot is the Aggies with maroon and white being the school's colors. The school has a strong athletic program, including a women's soccer team that made 15 consecutive NCCA Tournament appearances until 2009.
