What is a good SAT score?

This depends a lot on what school you want to go to. For example, if you're interested in the Ivies, a "good" score will probably need to be around 2300 (or 1500 if you don't include the writing). If you want to go to community college, a "good" score could be closer to 1400 (or 940 if you don't include the writing). A good place to start would be to look up the average SAT ranges for the schools you're interested in - that will give you a score to aim for.
