Is Montclair State University a dry campus?

Technically yes, but so many students violate this rule that it is beyond the capability of the campus PD to do much about it. It would not be unusual for no one to ever find out about alcohol consumption in the dorms or apartments unless noise is an issue. Punishments for alcohol possession and consumption on campus range from mandatory alcohol education classes to loss of housing

Just to add, the Village Apartments DO allow alcohol but there are limits to the amount you may have in each apartment. It seemed like this past year the MSU cops were a little more on top of everyone, in regards to drinking and drugs, especially the freshman so if you're going to do it, be careful!
