Do credit cards and debit cards work abroad?

Most Visa and MasterCard (and other) cards are international cards. Keep in mind when using credit cards abroad that there are exchange conversion fees. There are also charges for using debit cards while abroad. This is something you should talk to your bank about before going abroad. The good thing about having a credit and debit card while abroad is the safety of avoiding carrying around cash. 

You should also be aware of your pin number length...  Many international machines will only accept a 4 digit pin. If your pin is longer, it won't work.  Have fun!
