Can I walk the cliff walk near Salve Regina University?

Yes. You are just advised to not walk the cliff walk at night or during crazy weather.

The Cliff Walk is one of the great things about Newport.  I was fortunate to live in one of the mansions at the end of the cliff walk and took advantage of walking the cliff walk often.  There are some parts of the walk that are isolated from street view.  I would not walk too late at night because good footing could be an issue.  Although I'm not aware of any safety issues in Newport, it would be wise to keep safety in mind as you walk the isolated areas out near the point.  Otherwise - enjoy Newport and all that it offers.
